flatiron book publicity is a boutique firm that takes pride in developing personal, highly collaborative relationships with authors and publishers. We work with our clients’ strengths to customize smart, strategic promotional campaigns that position authors as experts in their field.

Our strategy focuses on the combination of traditional book publicity with digital and platform development.  This three-prong approach drives books sales, increases client's fan bases, establishes their digital platform, and creates new opportunities for brand growth.

  • We start with a strategic plan and target list to connect our clients with the foremost influencers in their space. From there, we develop a plan to work with the influencer to best showcase your book to their network.

  • This is not a quickie campaign, we create a 12-month action plan centered on your book launch date to ensure maximum eyes (and sales) for your title.

  • We want to connect you with the most readers as possible, which means getting as many eyes on your title as we can. Digital media is an essential piece in that plan, as we create a strategic list of targets with personalized pitches for each, to position your title for success.

  • Sometimes you need that extra push before your book is bought by a publisher to establish you as an expert and leader in your field. We’ll develop a strategic plan to get you the press hits you need to be best positioned for your agent to take your title out on submission.

  • Podcasts are a great tool in reaching readers and having the space to fully delve into your story. We create a strategic target list and pitch plan to book as many timely and relevant podcasts during your launch campaign and beyond.
